MEET OUR ATTORNEY

Michelle E. Diaz has been practicing law since 1998.  She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley. During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered as a mentor to at-risk youth in neighboring Oakland, and served as a writing tutor on campus at Cal.  She went on to graduate from law school in the top 10% of her class, receiving her J.D., magna cum laude, from Whittier College School of Law.  While attending law school, she worked as a law clerk at a prominent law firm in Beverly Hills, and volunteered as Treasurer of the Whittier Public Interest Law Foundation, Treasurer of the Trial Advocacy Honors Board, and Historian for Phi Alpha Delta.  Her academic achievements include multiple appearances on the Dean's List and Honor Roll, along with the prestigious honor of being a Member of the Whittier Law Review. Ms. Diaz is no stranger to working hard to obtain exceptional results, and abides by the mantra that, "The will to succeed is meaningless without the will to prepare."

 

In addition to her current focus on family law, Ms. Diaz has handled many types of cases including civil rights, employment rights, insurance coverage and catastrophic personal injury.  Her attraction to practicing law has always been a desire to help others in need of strong advocacy and support through difficult times - and family law provides her the welcome opportunity to help others in the most difficult and personal of circumstances.  Ms. Diaz founded her firm in 2011 with the belief that in starting her own practice, she could be more effective in helping people deal with all issues in the family law arena, and this has allowed Ms. Diaz to fully realize her passion for helping people.

 

Ms. Diaz is active in local organizations including the San Fernando Valley Bar Association.  Her reputation in the legal community and courts is based upon her treatment of others with respect and dignity, while providing smart, strong advocacy for her clients in their time of need.
